You’ll coach team members, manage service flow and take responsibility for sales, labour, stock and wastage.Key ResponsibilitiesLead from the floor during busy service periods, coordinating the team to deliver efficient service.Train, coach and motivate team members to maintain high service standards.Drive sales and achieve store KPIs through product knowledge, upselling and customer engagement.Plan rosters and manage labour costs in line with budgets and trading requirements.Oversee stock ordering, availability and wastage to maintain quality and control costs.Resolve customer concerns professionally and use feedback to improve their experience.Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety standards.Support opening and closing teams to ensure consistent operations throughout the day.What You BringExperience as a Store Manager, Café Manager, Venue Manager or Hospitality Manager in a busy café, bakery, food retail or similar hospitality environment.A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.Experience achieving sales targets and managing labour costs, rosters, stock and wastage.A strong customer service focus and a calm, practical approach during busy service periods.Clear communication, sound organisational skills and a passion for hospitality.Availability for opening and closing shifts, weekends and some public holidays.About Laurent BakeryLaurent Bakery has been part of Melbourne’s café culture for over 30 years.
