Store Optometrist

Job SummaryWe are looking for a qualified and customer-focused Store Optometrist to conduct professional eye examinations, diagnose refractive conditions, recommend suitable optical solutions and support retail sales within the store.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess refractive conditions.Review customer history and identify vision-related requirements.Prescribe and recommend suitable lenses and optical solutions.Guide customers on spectacle lenses, contact lenses, speciality lenses and disposables.Perform pre- and post-fitting quality checks.Re-examine customers where required and recommend corrective solutions.Educate customers on product usage, lens options, promotions and offers.Support sales of spectacle lenses, contact lenses and powered sunglasses.Contribute towards sales targets, conversion and AUPC performance.Maintain accurate customer and examination records.Prepare periodic reports and MIS related to optical sales and QC.Maintain optometry equipment and report breakdowns promptly.Ensure the clinic and equipment comply with applicable authority guidelines.Support regulatory audits and maintain valid professional licensing.RequirementsBachelor’s / Graduation in Optometry.Up to 2 years of experience as an Optometrist, preferably within an organised optical retail environment.Strong knowledge of refraction, lenses, contact lenses and optical products.Customer-focused with good counselling and communication skills.Sales-oriented with the ability to recommend the right product solution.Good understanding of optical retail operations.Ability to maintain clinical and equipment standards.Valid or eligible DHA / DOH / MOH licence, depending on work location.Key SkillsOptometry, Eye Examination, Refraction, Vision Testing, Optical Retail, Contact Lenses, Spectacle Lenses, Progressive Lenses, Lens Dispensing, Prescription Interpretation, Eye Care, Customer Consultation, Product Recommendation, Retail Sales, Sales Conversion, AUPC, Optical Equipment, Clinic Compliance, DHA, DOH, MOH.
