AR Specialist – Family Practice Billing | Permanent WFH

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist – Family Practice Billing to join our growing U.S.-based healthcare billing team. This is a full-time, remote position responsible for managing outstanding insurance claims, resolving denials, and ensuring timely reimbursement for multiple family practice clients.The ideal candidate has extensive experience in family practice medical billing, AR follow-up, and denial management, with strong knowledge of vaccinations, preventive care, wellness visits, and laboratory billing. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can independently investigate complex claims, identify reimbursement issues, and drive effective resolutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable Management & Claims Follow-UpManage outstanding accounts receivable for multiple family practice clients, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.Review and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, denied, and aged insurance claims.Handle billing inquiries and claims related to vaccinations, wellness visits, preventive care, laboratory services, and routine family practice consultations.Contact insurance carriers through payer portals, phone calls, and other communication channels to investigate claim statuses and payment delays.Prioritize outstanding claims based on aging, reimbursement value, and timely filing requirements.Denial Management & AppealsInvestigate claim denials, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.Prepare and submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals to insurance carriers.Analyze denial trends and recommend solutions to prevent recurring billing issues.Resolve complex claims independently by reviewing billing records, coding information, payer policies, and supporting documentation.Billing Systems & ComplianceUtilize AdvancedMD and/or Practice Suite to manage claims, review patient accounts, and track AR activities.Maintain accurate documentation of claim follow-ups, payer communications, and resolution actions.Follow client-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), billing guidelines, and payer requirements.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards.Performance Monitoring & CollaborationMeet established productivity, collection, and accounts receivable performance targets.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including AR aging, denial resolution, and collection efficiency.Collaborate with the Client Success team to address billing concerns and improve operational performance.Participate in regular performance reviews and provide updates on outstanding claims and reimbursement challenges.QualificaitonsAt least 5 years of medical billing experience, with extensive hands-on experience in AR follow-up, denial management, and insurance collections.Strong background in family practice billing, including vaccinations, wellness visits, preventive services, and laboratory billing.Hands-on experience with AdvancedMD and/or Practice Suite EMR/Practice Management systems.Comprehensive understanding of medical billing processes, insurance claim adjudication, payer guidelines, and reimbursement procedures.Proven ability to investigate and resolve unpaid, denied, and aged claims independently.Experience navigating insurance payer portals and communicating directly with commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple client accounts and competing priorities.Additional billing experience in Gastroenterology (GI), Pain Management, OB/GYN, or Sleep Medicine.Familiarity with multiple insurance payer types and specialty-specific billing requirements.Proven track record of improving AR collections, reducing outstanding balances, and resolving complex denials.PerksPermanent Work From HomeLeave CreditsMonetary AllowanceAnnual BonusWeekly PaychecksFixed Weekends OffThriving Company Culture with Complete AutonomyExclusive Specialized Training ProgramsUnlock Your Potential with a Highly Competitive Salary____________________________________________________________________Who are we?BizForce is one of the fastest-growing global outsourcing companies in the world, founded in the US in Tucson, Arizona and is now operational in PH!Our Commitment to delivering high-quality results for our clients and the only way to do that is ensuring a rewarding, respectful and productive experience for our employees.
