B&T CABLES LTD. is looking for Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)Job Description / ResponsibilityCorporate Office: B&T Nehaleeya Tower, Plot-80, Block-B, Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka-1213.Job Location: Factory premises at Village: Purondorpur, Post: Khalishpur, Upazila: Moheshpur, District: Jhenaidah.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance of cable manufacturing machinery, including Drawing Machines, Stranding Machine, Extruder, Armoring Machine, and Take-up/Pay-off Strands.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults or breakdowns swiftly to minimize production line downtime.Repair or replace defective mechanical components, bearings, gears, rollers, shafts, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.Assist in assembling and installation of new production machinery, structural components, or sub-assembles according to Engineering blueprints and technical drawings.Align, fit, and secure machinery parts, using precision measuring instruments (Caliper, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)Fabricate, cut, shape, replacement parts, or temporary modifications using workshop equipment.Thread, drill, and tap components needed for mechanical fixes and adjustments.Inspect finished machinery set-up, and repaired sections to ensure that they meet structural, operational and safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, lock-out/tag-out protocols and PPE policies.Report any hazardous conditions or faulty installations directly to the Department Head/ Operation Head.Maintain daily records of all maintenance logs, parts, replaced and inspections performed including inventories.Coordinate closely with production managers, operators, helpers and electrical team to maintain seamless factory operations.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical EngineeringB. Sc. Engineering in Mechanical from any reputed University.Additional RequirementsComputer software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and AUTOCAD.Job LocationJhenaidah (Maheshpur)
