Care is supported by appropriate medical technology and equipment to enhance outcomes and patient experience.Role Description: The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing medical equipment and related technologies across the hospital. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with clinical staff to support the effective use of equipment, training users on proper operation, and maintaining accurate documentation of equipment inventory and service records. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos State, Nigeria.QualificationsStrong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in a healthcare setting.Hands-on experience with medical equipment and equipment maintenance, including installation, calibration, and repair.Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.Understanding of hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes.Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics and use diagnostic tools effectively.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Prior experience in a hospital or clinical environment in Lagos State or similar settings is an advantage.Lives within Surulere and its environs.
