Chief Technology Officer (CTO)Location: Dubai, UAESalary: Up to 60,000 AED per monthAbout the OpportunityI’m recruiting for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to join a fast-growing technology company in Dubai that develops advanced autonomous systems. The technical team is currently around 20 people, and the role needs someone who can both set the technical direction and get stuck into the engineering detail.As CTO you will own the technology vision, roadmap and execution. You will lead the engineering team, oversee product development, and ensure technology initiatives support the company’s commercial goals.Key responsibilities include:Defining and delivering the technology strategy and roadmapLeading end-to-end product development from concept through to deploymentHands-on technical leadership, reviewing architecture, contributing to complex engineering challenges, and raising the technical barBuilding, mentoring and developing a high-performing engineering team of ~20 peopleManaging technical projects, risks, quality and delivery timelinesWorking closely with the CEO and wider leadership team on prioritisation, investment and stakeholder communicationStaying ahead of relevant technology trends and driving innovation in autonomous systemsWhat I’m Looking ForBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related fieldMinimum 5 years in technology leadership roles, ideally with experience in robotics, autonomous systems or similar complex product environmentsProven ability to lead and grow technical teams while remaining hands-on with the engineeringStrong product development, system architecture and full-lifecycle delivery experienceExcellent communication skills, able to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholdersExperience in high-growth or scaling technology environments is an advantageFamiliarity with relevant regulatory and compliance considerations is helpfulEligibility (essential):UK or European passport or currently working in Dubai (and able to continue working there).Why This RoleYou will join a focused technical team of around 20 people where your input will have immediate impact.
