Financial Controller – Monterra (UK)

Monterra is a holding incubationservices group operating in the UK and Switzerland. As we grow, we need a hands-on Financial Controller, based onsite in Dubai, to own finance, reporting and regulatory compliance across our UK and Swiss entities.What you’ll ownMonth-end and year-end close for UK and Swiss entities, plus group consolidationStatutory accounts under UK GAAP / FRS 102 and the Swiss Code of ObligationsRegulatory reporting and compliance for the FCA (UK) and our Swiss VQF SRO membershipPreparing for and managing the annual VQF audit, including AML/KYC controls under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA)Audit coordination with external auditors in both jurisdictionsVAT, corporate tax and transfer pricing, working with external advisorsCash flow forecasting, treasury and multi-currency (GBP / CHF / EUR) managementMonthly management reporting and board/investor packs for the CEOStrengthening financial controls, policies and systems as we scaleWhat you bringQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Swiss Certified Expert or equivalent)7+ years’ experience, including hands-on work with both UK and Swiss entitiesBackground in a regulated financial institution (banking, asset/wealth management, payments or fintech)Hands-on experience with a Swiss SRO, ideally VQF, including annual audits and AMLA requirementsWorking knowledge of FCA reporting requirements in the UKBased in Dubai or able to relocate and start immediatelyComfortable in a lean team: you do the work, not just review itFluent English; German or French is a strong plusWhy joinDirect line to the CEO and real ownership of group financeFlexible setup: full-time or fractional (onsite days agreed with the CEO)A growing financial services business with a cross-border footprint
