About Your New EmployerJoin a manufacturing business with site in Galway.Work within a supportive, collaborative team with opportunities for professional development.Help improve workplace safety and contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives across the business.About Your New JobAs Environmental, Health & Safety Officer, you will:Maintain and improve the company’s Health & Safety Management System.Carry out site inspections, risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.Deliver safety training, including manual handling, and promote safety awareness.Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Support the company’s environmental and sustainability strategy, monitoring energy usage, waste, water consumption and carbon-reduction initiatives.Lead sustainability reporting and support improvement and certification programmes.Coordinate external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies and insurers, maintaining accurate compliance documentation.Be based primarily in Galway, with travel to Birr approximately once a month and Mitchelstown approximately once every two months.What Skills You NeedA degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Sustainability or a related field.A minimum of one year’s experience in an EHS role.Manual Handling Trainer certification.Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and relevant standards.Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.The ability to promote a positive safety and sustainability culture.A full driving licence and authorisation to work in Ireland.What’s on OfferFull-time, permanent employment.8-hour day shifts during standard office hours.Professional development and further training opportunities.Bike to Work scheme and employee referral scheme.Company events and on-site parking.What’s NextApply now or contact Patrycja at (21) 235 9142 to discuss the opportunity.
