Logistics Operations Manager

Staffora HR is looking for an Operations Manager – Logistics & Transportation*Department:* Logistics & Transportation *Experience Required:* 6–8+ years *Fleet Management:* Proven experience managing 100+ vehicles *Technical Requirement:* Hands-on experience implementing a Transport Management System (TMS)Job PurposeTo oversee and optimize daily logistics and transportation operations, manage a fleet of 100+ vehicles, lead operational teams, and implement and improve TMS solutions to enhance fleet utilization, delivery performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end logistics and transportation operations, including fleet dispatch, route planning, delivery scheduling, and vehicle allocation.- Oversee a fleet of 100+ vehicles, ensuring maximum utilization, vehicle availability, and operational efficiency.- Lead *TMS implementation*, including system configuration, process mapping, user training, testing, reporting, and integration with existing operational systems.- Monitor vehicle tracking, route adherence, fuel consumption, delivery timelines, driver productivity, and fleet performance.- Develop and implement strategies to reduce transportation costs, improve turnaround time, and optimize route planning.- Supervise transport supervisors, fleet coordinators, drivers, and operational staff, ensuring productivity and accountability.- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, breakdowns, repairs, registration, insurance, and compliance documentation.- Ensure compliance with UAE transportation regulations, road safety requirements, and company policies.- Coordinate with warehouse, sales, customer service, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.- Monitor KPIs, prepare operational reports, analyze performance trends, and implement corrective actions.- Manage third-party transporters, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.- Handle customer escalations, delivery discrepancies, operational challenges, and service-level commitments.- Prepare annual operating budgets, control fleet-related expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.- *6–8+ years of relevant experience* in logistics and transportation operations.- Demonstrated experience managing and controlling a fleet of *100+ vehicles*.- Proven hands-on experience in *TMS implementation and system optimization*.- Strong knowledge of fleet management, route optimization, vehicle tracking, dispatch planning, and transportation cost control.- Experience managing drivers, supervisors, transport teams, and third-party logistics providers.- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Proficiency in MS Excel, operational reporting, and logistics management systems.- UAE logistics and transportation market experience is preferred.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Fleet utilization and vehicle availability.- On-time delivery and service-level compliance.- Transportation cost per trip or delivery.- Fuel efficiency and maintenance cost control.- Driver productivity and vehicle turnaround time.- TMS adoption, implementation success, and reporting accuracy.- Customer satisfaction and reduction in operational complaints.Preferred Candidate Profile: A results-driven logistics and transportation professional with strong fleet-management expertise, proven TMS implementation experience, and the ability to manage large-scale operations efficiently while controlling costs and improving service delivery.If you are interested, please share your CV to careers@stafforahr.ae
