Plant Manager — Silica Processing

Job Summary: Leads the processing plant from construction handover through commissioning to stable 24/7 production. Accountable for throughput, product quality, plant safety, maintenance and operating cost. Balances production pressure against the independence of quality control and the discipline of planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commissioning and ramp-up to nameplate capacity, coordinating the EPC contractor, the Mineral Processing Engineer and the Maintenance Supervisor.Run daily production meetings and shift handovers; set weekly throughput, yield and product-mix targets aligned with the sales plan.Own the plant safety system: permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out, confined space, working at height, conveyor guarding and RCS dust exposure control, with zero tolerance for bypassing.Protect QC independence: ensure every lot is sampled, tested and released by QC before dispatch, and that non-conforming product is quarantined.Implement planned and condition-based maintenance through a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) and hold the Maintenance Supervisor to schedule compliance.Manage the plant operating budget (power, water, reagents, wear parts, labour) and drive continuous improvement projects.Establish and maintain an integrated management system aligned with ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).QualificationsExperience in Silica plant management and manufacturing operations Strong communication, management and supervisory skillsBachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field6+ years of experience in field
