Security Officer – Data Centre

The company specializes in supporting distributed organizations with scalable IT operations, field engineering, and infrastructure management.Role overviewWe are looking for a German Security Escort to accompany visiting engineers inside a secure data centre in Germany. This is a non-technical security role: you supervise access and stay with visitors at all times, but do not carry out any technical work.Key Responsibilities

• Meet visiting engineers on arrival and verify their identity and authorisation against the access list.
• Escort engineers to and from their work areas and remain with them for the entire visit.
• Ensure visitors only enter areas they are authorised for and follow site security rules.
• Record visitor entry, exit and activity in the site access log.
• Report any security incident, unauthorised access or rule breach to site security immediately.
• Act as the German-speaking point of contact between visiting engineers and on-site staff.
• Follow all data centre health, safety and confidentiality procedures.Mandatory requirements
• German, with working English to communicate with international engineers.
• §34a GewO qualification: Sachkundeprüfung (preferred), valid for security work in Germany.
• Ü1 security clearance (einfache Sicherheitsüberprüfung nach SÜG), either held already.
• Clean police clearance certificate (Führungszeugnis), issued within the last 3 months.
• Right to work in Germany.
• Reliable, punctual and able to stay alert during long or quiet shifts.Desirable
• Previous security experience in a data centre, KRITIS site, government building environment.
• Familiarity with access control systems and visitor management.
• Basic first aid or fire warden certificate.
