Senior Accountant

Key RequirementsBCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience with VAT, PAYE and income tax submissions.Knowledge of SARS queries and tax compliance.Experience with CIPC compliance and statutory reporting.Strong understanding of South African accounting standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Manage VAT, PAYE and income tax submissions.Handle SARS queries and resolve tax discrepancies.Oversee CIPC compliance, annual returns and company registrations.Review general ledger accounts and financial transactions.Verify invoices, reconciliations and supporting documents.Monitor compliance deadlines and maintain accurate financial records.Key SkillsStrong accounting and taxation knowledge.Excellent financial reporting and management accounting skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software proficiency.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational and time-management abilities.QualificationsBCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience preparing monthly management accounts.Practical experience with VAT, PAYE and income tax returns.Experience handling SARS queries and tax compliance.Knowledge of CIPC reporting, annual returns and company registrations.SAIPA/SAICA affiliation and Xero experience would be advantageous.
