We start by understanding the production problem, then design and implement solutions that deliver measurable improvements on the factory floor.About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who can take technical ownership of automation projects, from understanding customer requirements and developing system concepts through installation, commissioning, and handover.You will combine practical engineering work with technical leadership: programming and troubleshooting systems, making design decisions, coordinating with customers and suppliers, and guiding junior engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess customer processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate operational requirements into practical technical solutions.Develop system concepts, control architectures, electrical designs, component selections, and bills of materials.Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and other automation equipment.Integrate robotic systems, AMRs, machine vision, and production monitoring platforms according to project requirements.Plan and execute system testing, installation, commissioning, and performance validation.Diagnose electrical, controls, communication, and integration issues, and implement reliable corrective actions.Coordinate technical requirements, schedules, and site readiness with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.Prepare engineering documentation, test records, operating instructions, and project handover materials.Review junior engineers’ work and provide practical technical guidance.Incorporate equipment safety, maintainability, and operator usability into system design and deployment.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.At least 3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, controls, robotics, or system integration.Strong practical knowledge of PLC programming, electrical control systems, sensors, and industrial communications.Experience delivering automation projects through installation and commissioning.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.A structured approach to troubleshooting, with the ability to investigate problems independently.Clear communication skills and confidence discussing technical requirements with customers.Willingness to work hands-on at customer factories and travel as projects require.Additional Experience We ValueIndustrial or collaborative robot programming and integration.AMR deployment, navigation, fleet management, or equipment interfacing.Machine vision applications, including inspection, measurement, and identification.SCADA, industrial IoT, manufacturing execution systems, or production dashboards.Industrial networking and protocols such as Modbus TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA.Technical project leadership and mentoring junior engineers.Why Join MIT?Take ownership of projects from initial concept to working systems.Work across robotics, controls, vision, and industrial software.Solve practical manufacturing problems with results you can see on the production floor.Help shape engineering practices and develop a growing technical team.How to ApplySend your CV and a brief summary or portfolio of relevant automation projects to michael.mulianto@vrindonesia.id.Email subject: Senior Automation Engineer Application – [Your Name]For each project, briefly describe the application, technologies used, your responsibilities, and the result achieved.
