Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure & M365)💰 £50,000 to £55,000, with flexibility for the right person📍 Bath and Bristol offices, hybrid with three days a week onsiteCompany & roleAn established Microsoft Solutions Partner and managed service provider working with SMEs across the South West, and one of the faster growing IT businesses in the region. They hold Solutions Partner designations spanning Modern Work, Infrastructure, Security and Data & AI, alongside security accreditations most providers their size do not carry, and have recently opened a second office as part of a deliberate growth push.They are moving their entire client base to the cloud, across both Modern Work and Azure. They are early in that journey, and this role exists to drive the Azure side of it forward. It will not be pure Azure from day one, the Microsoft 365 and modern workplace work is real and ongoing, but the direction of travel is settled and the balance tips further towards Azure as the client base migrates.That is the honest version of the pitch. If you are in an MSP doing good project work but your Azure exposure is capped by how fast your customers are willing to move, this is a chance to be the person setting that pace rather than waiting on it.Why This Role Stands OutYou shape the Azure side rather than inherit it. The directors are in the business day to day, so decisions get made quickly.Varied SME client base with security running through most engagements.You join before the growth rather than after it.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver Azure projects end to end, from scoping through to handover into supportDesign and build Azure infrastructure, migrations and hybrid identityDeliver Microsoft 365 and modern workplace projects including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and IntuneBuild security into project work as standard, across Defender, Entra and PurviewHelp set the technical direction for how Azure work gets scoped, delivered and repeatedWork directly with customers as the technical point of contact during deliverySupport scoping and pre sales where your input shapes the right solutionKeep documentation and handover quality high so projects land cleanly with the service deskIdeal ExperienceCurrently working in an MSP or Microsoft partner environment, delivering projects rather than supporting themHands on Azure experience across infrastructure, migrations and identitySolid Microsoft 365 delivery experience including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and IntuneGenuinely autonomous, comfortable being handed a project and trusted to run itMicrosoft Security exposure is highly desirable, particularly Defender, Entra and Conditional AccessCertifications such as AZ 104, AZ 305, MS 102 or SC 300 are welcome, though delivery track record matters moreCommutable to Bath or Bristol for three days a week onsiteIf your Azure work is currently limited by how quickly your customers are moving, this is a business where that ceiling lifts as you go.
