The RoleAs our Senior Learning & Curriculum Designer, you’ll lead the development of learning experiences that teach young people aged 7 to 18 how to navigate online life: scams, privacy, AI, misinformation, gaming, online relationships and digital identity. Your work will reach classrooms in more than 16 countries, through programmes delivered with schools, governments and global technology partners, and shape how Cyberlite’s frameworks and research become the learning a child actually remembers and acts on.The brief is rarely finished when it reaches you. Sometimes it’s a well-developed framework; often it’s a research paper, a client challenge, or a trend young people have discovered before most adults have heard of it. Your job is to work out what they need to understand, what they should be able to do differently afterwards, and to invent the most engaging way to teach it.This is a creating role. One day you might map a learning journey across a decade of ages; the next, write the scenario a class of 12-year-olds will argue over. You’ll lead curriculum development by making it.Your job is to work out: What does a young person need to understand? What should they be able to do differently afterwards? What is the most engaging way to teach it?What You'll DoYou will:Lead content development across Cyberlite’s programmes, setting the pedagogical and creative direction for how our frameworks become learning experiences.Be creative with new formats: games, simulations, role-play scenarios, decision-based activities and interactive tools that go beyond the worksheet-and-slides default of online safety education.Design learning systems that scale, including workshop structures, training programmes, and visual signposting that work across countries, languages and facilitators of varying experience.Translate research, policy and technical subject matter into scaffolded, age-appropriate learning, understanding that teaching privacy to an 8-year-old looks nothing like teaching it to a 16-year-old.Prototype fast, test with real students and educators, and refine based on what happens in the room rather than what looks good on paper.Write facilitator guides and professional-learning materials that let educators confidently deliver programmes they didn’t create.Keep the curriculum ahead of the curve as platforms, AI tools and children’s online cultures evolve.Who We're Looking ForPassion for this field comes first. You’re the kind of person who is curious about the latest AI trends, has opinions about how schools teach online safety, and finds youth's social media culture fascinating. You may have arrived here through curriculum design, teaching, youth work, children’s media, games design or edtech; we care less about the length of your CV than about what you’ve made and your experiences. Skills and Experiences We're Looking For: Strong understanding of pedagogy, how children and adolescents learn, and the ability to scaffold one concept across ages 7 to 18.Educational writing that makes difficult ideas simple without making them simplistic.Experience in developing engaging activities for students, teachers, and parents.Proficiency in graphic design, Canva, Google Slides/PowerPoint — your materials should look as good as they teach.Willingness to question whether conventional online safety teaching reflects how children actually live online.Bonus points for Adobe Illustrator, animation or motion design, or hands-on experience with generative AI creative tools. Please share a portfolio of your work if available. A cybersecurity background isn’t required. Learning design and curiosity come first; the subject-matter depth you’ll build fast. The Person Who Will Thrive HereYou'll enjoy Cyberlite if you're comfortable working on ambiguous, creative projects with fast deadlines. We’re a small, lean team that works closely across borders, so this role requires a high level of self-motivation and curiosity.A client might come to us with a broad challenge such as:"Young people are increasingly using generative AI. We want them to understand how to use it safely and responsibly."Rather than waiting for a detailed brief, you'll be excited to investigate the problem, identify the learning priorities, map the learning journey and start building. You can move between strategy and making.Ultimately, your role is to help make Cyberlite exceptionally good at one thing:Taking the complicated realities of growing up in a digital world and turning them into learning experiences that genuinely change what young people know, think and do.If you want a head start send me a personalised letter and your portfolio directly to my inbox nina@cyberlite.org
