Senior Manager - Financial Controller

About the roleOur client, a leading integrated steel and building materials manufacturer in the UAE, is seeking a Senior Manager – Financial Controller to lead the finance function of its Steel Unit. Reporting to the Group CFO and leading a team of 16, you will own the financial integrity, compliance, and performance insight that drives profitable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ReportingOversee all accounting operations – AP, AR, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition – in close alignment with the Group Finance DirectorPrepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsEnsure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local financial regulationsLead budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and performance reportingStrategic Planning & AnalysisProvide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionsAnalyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunitiesDevelop financial models for capital investments, pricing strategies and cost optimisationOperational OversightImplement and maintain robust internal controls and financial systemsMonitor and improve financial KPIs across manufacturing operationsPartner with production and supply chain teams to align financial goals with operational performanceCompliance & AuditCoordinate internal and external auditsManage tax planning and statutory complianceLiaise with auditors, banks and regulatory bodiesTeam LeadershipLead, mentor and develop the finance teamFoster a culture of accountability and continuous improvementDrive automation and digital transformation of finance processesRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related fieldCPA, CMA or equivalent professional certification (essential)Minimum 10 years in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior role within manufacturing – steel or building materials strongly preferredFluent English; Arabic is an advantage
