YKS Physics teacher

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site YKS Physics teacher role based at Ihsan International School in Istanbul. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons aligned with the YKS curriculum, integrating relevant Mathematics concepts to support exam preparation. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching classes, assigning and assessing homework and exams, and providing constructive feedback to students. The role involves tracking student progress, identifying learning needs, offering additional support or enrichment, and maintaining accurate academic records. The teacher collaborates with colleagues, participates in departmental meetings, contributes to curriculum development, and communicates regularly with parents and guardians about student performance.Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in Physics and solid understanding of Mathematics relevant to YKS examination requirements.Demonstrated competence in Physics Education and effective Teaching practices for high school students.Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing clear objectives, structured activities, and appropriate assessment strategies.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Previous experience teaching YKS or similar high-stakes exam preparation is highly preferred.Ability to create an inclusive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment for learners with diverse backgrounds.Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations of complex concepts.Comfort with using educational technology and digital resources to support instruction and student engagement.Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration within a multicultural school community.
