The Academic Counselor will guide prospective and current learners in choosing suitable academic programs, based on their interests, strengths, and career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting student counseling sessions, offering academic and career advising, and helping learners understand program requirements and progression pathways. The role also involves maintaining accurate advising records, coordinating with faculty and admissions teams, and organizing informational sessions or workshops to support student success. The Academic Counselor will contribute to a supportive learning environment by encouraging informed decision-making and monitoring learner progress.Qualifications Strong student counseling and academic advising skills to support learners in program and course selection.Career counseling expertise and understanding of education pathways to align academic choices with career objectives.Excellent communication skills for one-on-one advising, group sessions, and collaboration with internal teams.Solid knowledge of education systems and familiarity with business, management, IT, and related academic disciplines.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.Experience in academic advising or student support services, preferably in higher education or training institutions.Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with strong interpersonal skills and a learner-centered approach.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple advising cases and administrative responsibilities.
