Senior VT Engineer - Site

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Engineer – Vertical Transportation (VT) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of vertical transportation systems on-site, ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Senior Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and drive project success through meticulous planning and execution.Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walkway systems on construction and renovation projectsConduct detailed technical inspections and troubleshooting of vertical transportation equipment to identify and resolve issues efficientlyInterpret and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and building codes to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standardsCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of VT systems within project timelines and budgetsDevelop and implement comprehensive site safety protocols and quality assurance procedures for all VT-related activitiesPrepare technical reports, documentation, and performance analyses to track project progress and system performanceLead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance on best practices and technical standardsManage preventive maintenance schedules and oversee corrective actions to optimize system reliability and longevityCommunicate technical findings and recommendations to project managers, clients, and stakeholders in a clear and professional mannerStay current with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in vertical transportation systemsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering disciplineMinimum 8+ years of professional experience in vertical transportation systems, including installation, maintenance, and commissioningProven expertise with major VT system manufacturers (OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp, or equivalent)Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator mechanics, hydraulic and traction systems, and control technologiesProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specificationsComprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for vertical transportationDemonstrated experience in site supervision and project coordinationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachStrong organizational and time management abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools
