Team members contribute to a culture of practical innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement.Role Description The Tailor role at The Strategic Founder is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Tailor will handle day-to-day tasks such as taking accurate body measurements, conducting fittings, and making adjustments to ensure precise garment fit. Responsibilities include dressmaking and tailoring for a variety of clothing styles, from business attire to custom pieces, as well as repairing and altering existing garments. The Tailor will consult with clients to understand their preferences, provide style and fabric recommendations, and maintain a high level of customer service and communication throughout the process. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized workspace, coordinating timelines for orders, and ensuring garments meet the company’s quality standards.Qualifications Strong tailoring and dressmaking skills, including garment construction and alterations.Proficiency in fittings and measurements, with attention to detail in achieving accurate and comfortable fit.Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.Experience working with a range of fabrics, patterns, and sewing techniques.Ability to manage multiple orders, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to high-quality workmanship and consistency, with strong attention to detail.Previous experience as a tailor or seamster/seamstress in a retail, studio, or bespoke environment is preferred.Basic proficiency in English; additional languages commonly spoken in Dubai are an advantage.
